FMCA is now Family RV Association! Same great RV community, bold new direction! As we transition from the Family Motor Coach Association to the Family RV Association, we're embracing a new era that welcomes all RV enthusiasts. Stay tuned for updates, including our upcoming domain change to frva.com, as we continue to enhance your RVing experience.

FMCA, in partnership with the RV Driving School, has developed a pair of programs for those wishing to become safer and more confident drivers. All training will be done using YOUR RV.

The RV Driving Class and the RV Backing Class will be a two-day course with classroom training on day 1 and behind-the-wheel training on day 2. There are a limited number of seats available for each class.

You may be able to save on your insurance policy upon completion of the course.
Please contact FMCARVInsurance.com or your agent to see if you qualify.

Why you should take one or both of these classes

For many people, the thought of driving an RV is intimidating. Whether piloting a motorhome or pulling a trailer, it’s not the same experience as driving a passenger car. The vehicle or combination of vehicles is longer and significantly heavier. Trucks, other highway traffic, and road issues such as construction add to the anxiety levels. By taking the RV Driving Class, you will feel more comfortable behind the wheel in any situation. The RV Backing Class will eliminate the frustration of attempting to back into a campground space, a storage space, of other confined areas.

Specifics

Because of the individualized nature of the classes, the program will be spread over a week’s time. Participants will dry camp on the grounds at the convention area during their session. Once your session is completed, we ask that you depart the grounds by the following morning so others arriving can use the parking area. If you plan to remain for the convention, you can dry camp in the FMCA Staging Area until you are directed to your final convention parking space. Ask your parking volunteer if you can be parked for the convention earlier than your assigned arrival day. Fee $40 per night, payable with cash or check.
